THE Australian consumer watchdog has instituted separate proceedings against two budget airlines, Jetstar and Virgin, over its fees and charges that are allegedly ‘dripped’ into the headline airfare.
The Australian Competition and Consumer Commission has lodged the action against the two airlines in the Federal Court, alleging that each company “engaged in misleading or deceptive conduct and made false or misleading representations in relation to particular airfares”.
